Too often there are stories of adult businesses being legally bullied into certain parts of town, or even bring zoned out altogether. For decades, misconceptions have shaped popular understandings of the adult industry. A significant series of misconceptions centers on women working in porn. Women in adult are commonly mischaracterized as passive individuals working in front of the camera only. This couldn’t be further from the truth. During this panel, an occupationally diverse collection of women will share their experiences working in adult, highlighting the challenges, advantages, adventures, and quirks of an industry commonly construed as being “run by men.”
